S.W. Fowler
Children’s author · Creator of The Closet Jungle
Biography
S.W. Fowler is the pen name of children’s author Samantha Wiley Fowler. Her stories are built around the things families care about most: curiosity, courage, imagination, teamwork and the bonds between brothers and sisters. She is the creator of The Closet Jungle.
The adventures began at bedtime, as stories made up on the spot for young listeners who always wanted one more chapter. Samantha turned that habit into books meant to be read aloud, shared on the sofa and discussed at the dinner table, with the hope that children grow up thinking of books as places they want to go back to.
The Closet Jungle
In The Closet Jungle, brothers Reid and Josh open a bedroom closet and discover a world of dinosaurs on the other side. They rescue a baby Maiasaura and look after Luna, a glowing baby Parasaurolophus, and learn that courage, teamwork and kindness make every adventure possible. The book is published by Storytime Publishers and sold on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Read more on the Behind the Book page, or visit the official book page.
Why she writes this blog
Parents and teachers are the people who put books in children’s hands. This blog shares practical ideas for them: how to read aloud well, how to make bedtime calmer, how to turn a love of dinosaurs into learning, and how to help siblings work together.
