Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones this Site uses, and how to control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, measure traffic and, on some sites, show advertising. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in much the same way, and we include them when we say “cookies”.
Types of cookies we use
Essential cookies
Needed for the Site to work and for security. For example, a short-lived session cookie protects the contact form against forged requests. Reading the Site does not set an essential cookie; it is only created when you use a form. These cannot be switched off in our systems, but you can block them in your browser (the form may then not work).
Analytics cookies
Help us understand how visitors use the Site (for example which articles are popular) so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics. Where the law requires consent, analytics cookies are used only if you allow them.
Advertising cookies
Set by Google and its partners when advertising is shown, to deliver ads, limit how often you see one and, if you allow it, personalize ads to your interests. Where the law requires consent, personalized advertising cookies are used only if you allow them.

Managing your choices
- Consent message: where it is shown (for example to visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), use it to accept, decline or manage cookies, and use the privacy-settings link to change your mind later.
- Personalized ads: turn them off in Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info.
- Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Your browser: every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies. Look under Settings, Privacy. Blocking all cookies can stop some features from working.
Even if you turn off personalized ads you may still see advertising; it will simply be less relevant to you.
